New Website Devoted to the Works and Accomplishments of Daisaku Ikeda
AnnouncementsA new website has been created that is devoted to the works and accomplishments of Daisaku Ikeda: http://www.daisakuikeda.org
The January 2008 launching of this site coincides with and celebrates the 80th birthday of Daisaku Ikeda. This site offers information and resources concerning the life and achievements of Mr. Ikeda, as well as a selection of his own writings and photographic works. Each of the main sections of Buddhist Philosopher, Peacebuilder and Educator offers, for the first time online, comprehensive writings detailing his thinking and achievements with respect to those themes, while the Profile section presents a detailed biography of his life. A Resource section, which will be updated periodically, makes available the latest news concerning Mr. Ikeda as well as his writings, interviews and records of his achievements and recognition.
RSS Feeds Available from This Site
AnnouncementsRSS feeds are available from this site.
Good candidates for feeds are the Announcements and the Youth Division sections of this site.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds are titles of and links to articles from sites like this that are fed to your browser or to news aggregator programs. In web-speak this is "push" instead of "pull" technology. The articles are pushed out to your browser instead of your having to go to the website and pull them out. This means that you can have new announcements fed to your browser as soon as they are posted on the SGI New England site, rather than you having to keep checking the site to see what's new.
